Welcome back to the basic Bee podcast. I'm doing something that I have not done before. Well, two things, actually. One was hosting an SEO workshop, and two is that I'm actually bringing the audio onto the podcast here. So you're going to be listening shortly to my Success with SEO in 2025 workshop, which I hosted recently for the second time. I added stuff to it and I want to make sure as many people as possible can hear this because I covered some really interesting things, including some top mistakes that I see entrepreneurs make with SEO, as well as how to avoid or fix them. So enjoy that. I also highlight three client case studies. So I talk you through the before, the during, and the after of working with them to improve their SEO and the results that they're seeing. But ultimately, we're going behind the scenes so you can see exactly how and why my clients are doubling their traffic and easily turning Google searches into sales with SEO. So, without further ado, enjoy the workshop. Welcome. Welcome. I'm so excited to have you. Of course, we are talking about how to have success with SEO in 2025. So let's get started. Brief little agenda. If you're someone like me who likes to know what's happening for the next hour or so. But we're going to be having a little bit of an introduction into the magic that is SEO. I'm going to talk you through some common SEO mistakes that I see people making and how to avoid them, and then talking through some client success stories. And we're going to wrap with a Q and A because we know I love a good Q and A. I have. As you're listening, if you're here live, feel free to. In the chat, just put Q and then write your question. And it'll help me find them easier when I go back through toward the end. Um, and then stay till the end. Cause I've got a really sweet surprise. If you're able to. If you're not, of course you can catch it on the replay. All right, here we go. Does this sound familiar? You're posting and showing up online consistently, but you don't really have anything to show for it. And at the same time, you're not a quitter. So you're here for the long haul. You double down, you post more often, you reach out in the DMs, and eventually you feel like you're chasing people around and wondering if anyone even wants what you have. Spoiler alert. They do, but they're not looking there. Meaning you definitely don't need to give your life to the gram. And there's a much easier and more effective way to get in front of those ideal clients who are actually searching for you. Also known as SEO. I want you to do this instead. Get clarity about how SEO works and how it can make you more findable without taking more of your time. Create a solid website SEO strategy that continuously works for you to bring in ideal clients and and make marketing decisions based on data and optimize your content to consistently market your business for you. I want you to take just a minute and if you're driving or you know, somewhere not sitting down, just think about it. What do you want to be known for? Take like 30 or 60 seconds, maybe even jot it down for yourself. Feel free to drop it in the chat if you want to, but really this is an exercise for you. What is it that you want to be known for? What do you want people to be saying about you in rooms where you're not? How do you want them to talk about you or what you have to offer? And like I said, if you feel like sharing in the chat, I would love to see. I also feel like so often a lot of people get stuck on do I write this big long paragraph or do I have to have it in a perfect like 10 word sentence? It doesn't matter. It needs to be as long as it needs to be okay. So once you have that in mind, keep it in mind as we go throughout this process. Presentation what is SEO? If this is your first time even hearing about SEO, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. I like to say it's how you show up as the answer to a googled question. And I've recently started saying this a lot, lot more because I'm seeing that this really is what it is. SEO is the easiest way to consistently get new leads because I'm sure you didn't start your business just to market it. I'm sure you think to yourself, I want a thriving business that supports the life I want to live, not a business that requires me to market it. 24,7 SEO surprise is the train that can make this a reality. It's the vehicle that can get you there. But it's not going to happen if you're not blogging or optimizing your blog posts. If you're not creating blog posts from podcast episodes, if you have those, if you're not creating or carrying over a website, SEO strategy if, for example, you update your website or something, and also if you're not optimizing social media profiles, SEO even goes there too. These are opportunities I see so many entrepreneurs missing out on, but I don't want that for anyone. And especially not for you. What can SEO do? Well, think about what thriving means to you. Thriving might mean an extra 1,000 website visitors each month coming to your site. It might mean 10 new hot leads coming in directly from Google. It might mean a 40% increase in podcast downloads with just one simple change. Maybe it means taking the weight off marketing. Weight of marketing off your business shoulders when your mom is sick and your dog is dying. And I really wish I was being dramatic, but that actually happened to me. So here's a little bit more about my story. I moved to Vermont with my boyfriend and the very first month that I lived there, I barely made rent. When my first two clients actually booked, I realized that they only found me because of SEO. I discovered I had a natural knack for doing SEO. But me being me, I needed to learn more. So I dove headfirst into this marketing strategy. After accidentally stumbling on being an SEO expert, I started applying this strategy to everything for myself, for my clients. Website things, podcast things, blog things, you name it, I was seoifying it. Before I knew it, SEO was my thing. I was teaching entrepreneurs about it. And I created my SEO and Grow method and people started calling me the SEO Queen, which is kind of a fun title if I have to admit that. Now I can't shut up about the magic of SEO. And I want to help as many entrepreneurs as possible feel the positive impact of this type of sustainable marketing strategy. So I mentioned the SEO and Grow method. This is what it is. It is my three step process that's helping my clients turn Google searches into sales. Phase one is understanding SEO. Phase two is implementing SEO, and phase three is maintaining SEO. So let's take a little bit more of a deep dive here. Understanding SEO. This is where you get clarity around how SEO works in general and how it can support you to create an intentional web of an online existence that actually makes you findable. This includes things like SEO terminology, best practices, and more. Phase two is implementing SEO. This is where you finally have a website SEO strategy in place that continues to work for you for years. You know exactly what to do to optimize your website to bring in clients so you can stop chasing people around Instagram. And phase three, maintaining SEO. This is where you get to move forward with confidence in what to do to continue improving your SEO and where you make strategic decisions that support your content to consistently bring in new leads. No guesswork about what to Post SEO mistakes to avoid. So please know this. It is totally, totally, totally normal to not start out with any knowledge about SEO and to even be doing things that aren't helpful for our SEO because we just aren't born knowing what best practices are for these things. You're also going to discover mistakes that you've accidentally made along the way, especially with these next few slides that I'm going to go through. I did this too. This is just part of the practice. Just like with everything in entrepreneurship, we're figuring this out as we go. So I want to show you how my clients are seeing success with SEO and how they're avoiding mistakes or even remedying things that they might have done in the past. Mistake number one is not taking the time to understand SEO. Again, this is where you're getting familiar with terminology, learning what makes a keyword good, and discovering how SEO works everywhere online like Courtney did. Welcome to Courtney's case study. So Courtney, before we started working together, she had zero SEO, as in not a freaking thing filled in. She wanted to make 2025 the year she finally did something about her SEO because she felt like she should, quote, unquote, be getting more traffic that her website and her podcast should be doing more for her. We started by optimizing her main website pages for SEO. And what did Courtney do the entire time? She asked questions. She was eager to learn and understand how she could maximize her SEO efforts. As a result, she unintentionally took three months off social media because she was sick and she still had hot leads rolling in. How SEO? She's even gone on to optimize 30 podcast episodes because she can see and feel the power of SEO. And we all know I love receipts, so I have them. If you're listening to this, just make sure that you come back to the actual video of this. So website wins. That Courtney has experienced. She improved the quality of her website traffic and she's getting leads even while not posting on social media. She's also seeing the difference between Instagram leads and Google leads, meaning this is a screenshot where she said, you know, SEO leads to paying clients in the spot. Because she was seeing even just like in her interactions in Instagram DMs versus emails versus, you know, someone booking a discovery call or something that the people who were coming in from website traffic, so Google SEO, that kind of avenue, they really wanted to work with her. They just wanted to do that last bit of the vetting process to see if Courtney was the person for them and what she Does. She's a sober coach. So this is a very personal, very intimate type of situation that people are coming to her for help with. So they were just doing like that last minute vibe check. If they were coming in from SEO and Google, the ones that were coming in from Instagram, they weren't happy to pay. They just wanted some free stuff. They were just kind of like poking around. They weren't really interested. So I found it very, very interesting that that was one thing that Courtney started to notice. And then with her podcast, she saw a 16% increase in podcast downloads just two days after optimizing only 10 episodes. Two days. That was absolutely bonkers. She's also, with one episode, she had a 40% increase in downloads just for that one episode where we only changed the tags. All we did was one, we left the title alone, we left the podcast show note alone, didn't touch it. We added some tags, which I call keyword tags, and like I said, 40% increase in downloads. When understanding is overlooked, you miss easy opportunities to make your business, your offers, and your content more visible with SEO. All right, mistake number two is not ensuring that you're implementing SEO across your entire online existence. Because like I said, yes, your website is your hub, but you can spread SEO further than that. So we want to optimize the website as the fix and then content hubs as well, like your social media profiles, your podcasts, your YouTube channels, things like that. Like Madison did. Welcome to Madison's case study. So Madison did have some SEO in place on her website when she first contacted me, but I quickly saw that it wasn't as dialed in as it could be. She was saying all the right things, but it still felt really broad, really general. We tackled the main website pages for SEO and added an additional step of fixing SEO errors. If you've ever heard of an SEO audit, that's where you're finding what the errors are, like broken links and things like that. And we fixed those as part of her SEO strategy package. Madison was totally okay having her team implement her suggestions and implement my suggestions. And I mentioned that because not everyone I've worked with is a solopreneur. Some people do have teams, but it doesn't make a difference if you have a team or if you're working solo, because all of these things can be implemented very easily, whether it's you or a team. I also have some people where they do have teams because it's good to hand it off to them because they're not so interested. As the CEO in Understanding what SEO is all about. So just a side note, Madison truly took things to the next level. I'm talking more keywords, more traffic, more signups, more visibility everywhere, even more podcast listeners. Because, yes, phase two is all about podcast SEO. So more receipts here. Her website wins again. More everything. More visibility, more visits, and more revenue. She's also feeling the difference of a dialed in SEO strategy. It happened fast and it's proving to be really sustainable. So we plugged in her SEO strategy. If you're looking at the screen about February, right about here, and as you can see, it's pretty much just up, up, up, up until about like the end of May. And then it's only like a tiny little bit of a drop. And it's totally normal with everything with keywords, with website traffic, with backlinks to have that wave that you're writing. But I mean, how incredible that it was just pretty much like pouring gas on the fire with this SEO strategy for her. I also included some of her keywords because again, it's like top five results for the top five keywords. It's just insane, everything that she's having going on. And it was really cool putting together her SEO report because it was nothing but just like up arrows again. Literally more traffic, more keywords, more sales. It's been wild. And then for her podcast, so downloads and followers increased quickly in a very short amount of time. So just 10 days after making changes to her podcast episodes, again it was just 10 podcast episodes. She had a 2.68268% increase in total plays. So it went from 78,000 something to 80,000 something plays or downloads. Her followers went from 1,729 people to 1,745. So it's about a 1% increase in followers again in just 10 days. And then she had a 6.6% increase in total Spotify plays or downloads for the entire show. And she and her team even noticed that there was traffic coming directly from the podcast to her website. There's a specific code that they have people use if they're doing something, whether that's downloading a freebie or joining her membership. And so they've been able to track that and see a huge spike in people coming again from the podcast to her website, which is the goal of SEO when implementing is lacking. Your most solid marketing strategy is mia. And it feels so hard to bring in new leads consistently, but it doesn't have to. Mistake number three is not doing things to maintain your SEO. The fix Reviewing metrics and using the data to make informed decisions to maximize marketing efforts moving forward like Leah did. Welcome to Leah's case study. So Leah also had an SEO strategy implemented on her website, but she wanted to take the opportunity to highlight a new audience while updating her website's SEO and messaging. So we discussed the goal of each page, what she liked and didn't like, where she wanted to take her business. In this next phase, I did keyword research. I created new on page SEO strategies and we plugged it all in. I will note we plugged in her SEO titles and meta descriptions first. And if that doesn't mean anything to you, just know that those are the two pieces that show up on a Google results page. So we updated those things first, didn't touch her website copy, and that's very important for what you're going to see on the next page. After. Leah was already blogging, so this updated SEO strategy was able to go to work quickly for her, as in a crap ton of new inquiries straight from Google in a matter of weeks. Since then, she's even started a podcast. So for her website wins. Like I mentioned, she got 10 new leads directly from Google before we even touched the copy. And yes, there's a little screenshot of our conversation for you. So again, all we did was change those two pieces that show up in the Google search results page. Didn't touch the copy. And by implementing those pieces, just those two pieces, she was getting 10 leads within the six weeks that we plugged that in. Because she already had a blog and a strong online presence, the SEO strategy was simply pouring gas on the fire. She even had a huge spike in backlinks after we implemented this new SEO strategy. And now for the podcast. This was definitely a strategic move for Leah. As a fellow introvert, Leah, like me, enjoys life behind the screen. But a podcast enables her to quickly connect with her audience, show off her personality and skills and and create more content to make her more findable again in more places. Because you have website SEO and then you have SEO that goes beyond your website and everything connects together to give a really cohesive experience to anyone who's visiting your website or learning about you. When maintenance is absent, you miss out on simple opportunities to maximize your marketing efforts and actually have marketing feel easy. Because it can feel easy. I know it feels like just this like absolute flip of a mentality to say that, you know, marketing can be easy, but it really, truly can. So I want you to take a minute to answer this. How does your SEO journey so far stack up. And if you don't have an SEO journey, if you haven't taken even like dip the toe in the water, it's totally okay. But just think about how your marketing feels again. Do you feel like you're chasing people around? Do you feel like you're putting in a lot of effort or time or money or energy? Or does it actually feel really easy and sustainable? Because it totally might. SEO gives you more visits, more listens, more leads, and more opportunities to easily make more impact and more money, all while living your life being present for those precious moments. The results you see with SEO are long lasting and more impactful than anything you'll see with social media marketing. But with this approach to SEO, my SEO and grow method, you're attracting warmer, hotter and better leads, often faster than you'd expect. Like I mentioned, a lot of those results that we just looked at were in a matter of weeks and with a guide. You don't know these SEO things immediately once you become an entrepreneur. Like I mentioned, I didn't either. There's nothing wrong with you. Nothing is wrong. You haven't missed a step. You haven't. You just didn't know, right? This is a new marketing muscle that you're flexing as an entrepreneur, which means there's going to be a learning curve. And it helps to have a guide there who can work with you on your SEO to interpret things and show you what to do with the data and stalk your site to pass along your wins on a random Tuesday. Because you know, one of us in here might do that. Because no matter what you have to offer, there are people who are not just interested in what you have to offer, but are actively searching for you. Credit cards at the ready. Some of you may know this. I have these SEO Voxer days and I was having a conversation with one of my friends as one of these SEO Voxer days and she said this line so perfectly just last week that I was like, I have to add this in here. Here's what she said. I yearn to get my dopamine from living my life, not bleeding myself dry, worshiping at the altar of always being on social media. I want my dopamine to come from being in a forest, not from getting likes on Instagram. I'm just going to leave that with you for a second because that really is at the heart of why I do what I do and why I'm even here talking to you about SEO. So you've got a decision to make. You can either stay Frustrated, stuck and stagnant. You can take this inspiration from today and do SEO alone. Maybe get frustrated, hit a wall, stop doing SEO and then still be complaining about the Instagram algorithm and that you have the same website traffic a year from now. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this from people, which is why I mention it. The cost of this, of course, is time, energy, effort, sanity, and possibly money as well. Or you could see success with SEO. You could hire me to do the magical SEO things for you like Leah, Madison and Courtney and so many other clients have done. I can't even name them or we'd all be here forever because I've definitely been doing this for a hot minute. That usually costs 2,500 plus. Or you could join SEO and Grow and discover how easy it is to bring in new leads with SEO with the help of a guide who will create your SEO strategy with you. So let me break this down. The SEO and Grow method is what we cover and what we walk through inside SEO and Grow. We walk through each of the phases. However, I've got this chart graph thing, this donut chart organized so that you can see that we spend a little bit of time with the understanding, but the bulk of it is with implementing and then we go through maintaining a little bit as well. But really, again, like I said, the bulk of it is with implementing. So creating that SEO strategy, getting it plugged into your website and then taking a look at the content that you can create that would support that strategy, the monthly deliverables. So I want you to think of this as like group coaching meets one to one beats done for you and what you're going to get inside. Here is the three part SEO and Grow curriculum which includes resources that I use along with my done for you clients. There are six total group coaching calls. They're kind of a combination of Q and A meets hot seat, so we can actually work things out in real time. Whatever you're coming up against, whatever you're facing, there are pop up tech tutorials and co working calls so you can take confident action with your SEO. So a pop up tech tutorial might be something like let's go with that example I used with SEO titles and meta descriptions. First of all you're going to know what those are. We talked about it. They show up on the Google search results page. But we might take a look at the back end of all of our websites, Kajabi, WordPress, Squarespace, and Figure out where those things actually live. An example of a co working call might be actually writing those things out. We've already done the keyword research and then we're actually going to take time to create those pieces of copy so that we can plug them in our websites. Another deliverable. You get Monday to Friday Telegram access to this community space. It's been really cool to watch people like really come together as a community with SEO Foundation. So that was the program that I just ran and we just ended last week. But the group aspect was everything because that's where people were able to help each other. I was able to jump in and answer a question. Now I will say it says Monday to Friday Telegram access. You're going to have access 24 7. I'm hopping in there to answer questions Monday through Friday. There will also be dedicated telegram Q and A days each month for on the go SEO support. So people will actually just like, I'll give you a heads up at the beginning of the day and you just drop questions in and then I'll come back through and answer them. But it's really fun because it's, it's just like, you know, people will be on a walk or running errands and they're like, oh, I thought of a question and they'll drop it in the Telegram thread. You're also going to get, and I might be a little bit crazy for this one, but you're going to get monthly material reviews because we're actually co creating your website SEO strategies together. So there's things like your homepage, your about page, your services page, your blog page, your podcast page, all of those main website pages that you would see in the nav bar. That is what we are creating an SEO strategy for. So working on this together, the material reviews, we're actually going to be looking at the keyword research. What is a good keyword? What is maybe like the most effective keyword for your homepage, for example, and then actually creating the SEO titles, the meta descriptions, image titles and a whole host of other things. And then also I've just confirmed two guest experts who are coming in to share things with us. So the first topic is going to be Google Business profiles and how we can actually optimize those for SEO. You'll get a taste of that coming up in the next couple weeks on my podcast. And then the second guest expert is going to be coming in to talk us through her SEO dashboard, which everyone's going to be able to access. So her SEO dashboard meaning like, how are we finding these metrics? What do we do with that information. What moves do we make in our businesses, in our marketing efforts with that information? So I'm really excited to talk to both of them. So SEO and Grow is for you if you're wanting to see if it's even possible to turn Google searches into sales. If you're thinking to yourself, I know what I do really well, but I don't know how to put it into googleable terms. It's also going to be for you if you're sick and tired of relying on social media strategies alone to market your business. Also if you're not afraid to take action, but you want someone there to quote, unquote, check your work and if you believe SEO is too techy, too complicated or too challenging to sustain, because really, I would love to prove you wrong on that because that's why I went into it as well. So what the investment looks like, there's a base plan and then there's a VIP upgrade. So the base includes all of those things that I just mentioned, the curriculum, the calls, the tech tutorials, the telegram access, the guest expert sessions, and the monthly material reviews. The total for that is 1800. If you're going to do pay in full and there are payment plans available. And then the VIP tier, there are four spots left. It's going to give you everything in the base tier, plus one to one Telegram access throughout and additional two one to one 60 minute strategy calls. So the first one, we're talking through your SEO errors that are showing up on your website, what they mean, what we need to address, and we're even going to prioritize what that looks like. And also on that call we'll probably be able to walk through quite a lot of the fixes for those errors. The second call is going to be all about the blog strategy, blogs that you can go back and optimize, blogs that you can write about in the future. So you may most likely you're going to be walking away with a topic list and a game plan of what to do for your blogging strategy for the rest of 2025. The investment for that is $900 if you pay in full. And again, there's a payment plan available for that too. Some testimonials from people who've done group programs with me. Britney is a wealth of information, but more importantly, she is patient and she breaks things down so you can actually understand them. She wants you to be successful and goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. If you ever want to feel really Awkward. You should just read testimonials by yourself. The next one says, before working with Britney, I didn't know how to maximize what I already knew about SEO. My favorite part of the experience was discovering all of these new tools and resources and hopping to it. I'm excited to apply these tips to our website. And the final one, I'm a time optimist, and I always think I have more than 24 hours in a day to work with. Brady makes it possible for me to complete powerful SEO steps in record time. She gave me actionable tasks that even I could understand and implement on my website. And she really does make it fun. I had to include that because it's definitely important to me if you've known me for any period of time. So these are some of the results waiting for you. As you can see if you're looking at the screen. Um, there's an increase in website traffic. So the purple line is just people who are seeing your website. And the blue line is people that are actually clicking over to the website. And I want to say we actually put this person's SEO strategy in place toward the end of December. So you can see that there was a rise, a little bit of a dip, and then a rise again. Podcast SEO. So the dates that are highlighted for both of these screenshots that are have the green waves. The dates are when I started working on their shows. And you can see that there was definitely a huge increase here, a huge increase over time for this one as well. We have another picture with some keywords. So a website started ranking for more keywords that were in position one to three and in position four through 10. And if you know a little bit about SEO, you'll know that positions one through 10 are on page one. So this person with their website, they have eight different spots where they are appearing on page one, which is huge. That's what we all want because we want to be seen as an expert. And the closer to you that you are to the top spot on page one of Google search results, the more trustworthy, the more of an expert that you're seeing on that topic, whatever that topic is. I also wanted to throw in this screenshot because again, so the blue is clicking over clicks to your website, and the purple line is just people who are seeing the website. So most often we see screenshots like this where people have more impressions. That's what they call the purple line versus clicks. But this person's website actually has lower impressions and higher clicks. So what this really means is is that the people that are seeing their website are very interested because there's a lot of clicks happening. So those are just some of the things that are waiting for you on the other side of working with SEO. And I do, because I love action takers, I do have a fast action bonus. So you'll get early one to one and group Telegram access when you join by July 3rd. So I think that's a Thursday that's coming up just in a couple of days. This is just a quick little. I've learned that you can put videos in canva, so there's a little video of the Telegram thread. You can also see the screenshot here. You can access Telegram if you're not familiar with it on your computer and even on your phone. So it's a way again that we can just communicate one to one very quickly on the go. You can do voice memos, you can share documents, you can just type out a message similar to text texting on a, you know, regular phone in a regular texting app. But you will get this pretty immediately. So if you're interested in asking me one to one questions, joining the group early, this would be something to jump on. Oh, FAQs. So these are just a few. I know that there's definitely going to be questions in the chat, but these are just a few of the FAQs. So what are the program dates? The program starts on July 16th and we go all the way through October 8th. The cart is going to close for this program on July 11th and we will kick things off on the 16th. And like I mentioned, that bonus is going to disappear on July 3rd. When should I start doing SEO for my business? So I like to say that it's never, ever too late or too early to start with SEO. I've had some people where they've started with SEO as soon as they had a website, as soon as they had that domain and their website was built out, they were doing SEO. And by doing SEO, implementing it, the SEO title, the meta description, your H1 headlines, all of the key pieces for each page and, and they were also blogging. So when I went through that three phase process of everything that I do with SEO, it's really important that you have the main website pages with a solid SEO strategy in place and that you go on to create some kind of content, blogs, podcasts, YouTube videos, whatever that might be. But you need to have something that's like continuing on. So that's what you want to do. But yeah, like I said, people have done it from the very beginning, they've done it like 10 years into their business. I think for me, I think it was about seven years into my business when I finally realized what SEO was and then I started doing it. Kind of cool. And it really just helps. Like I was saying with Madison's case study, it really does just pour gas on the fire. Are you only covering website SEO in the program? The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that by the end of the program, as you can tell, I can't shut up about SEO. So by the end of the program, as we're talking about things you can do to maintain your SEO, I will be more than happy to share anything about blogging, podcast, SEO, doing it for social media, that kind of thing. Do I need any SEO experience before joining? No. This is a space for anyone who's newer to SEO as well as anyone who's ready to kick it up a notch and actually take action on the basics and learn what to do to keep that momentum going. So what are you waiting for? 2025 is the year to get serious about SEO. It's time you feel how easy it can be to actually have your website working for you. Your content, content, bringing in new leads and the right clients finding you and saying yes. All right, Q and a time. I'm going to take take a sip of water. I'm going to go to the chat, and also, if anyone is here live and you want to come off mute, feel free to do that too. I take that back, actually. If you want to come off mute, maybe just raise your hand and then I'll take a look and I'll be able to pull you up. How do you fix your SEO? My site is showing up in the wrong results. What is happening? Fung, can you tell me a little bit more about that? Oh, yes. So basically for me, you know, like, I wrote a blog and it went pretty well, but, like, that's not what my thing is about. Like, my page is on fitness, but it's more on like a. And then it's trending on like a TikTok trend explanation for like, a different thing. So, like, that's not, you know, what I do. Yeah. So you had a blog that you wrote and it was about some kind of trending topic, and that really took off. Yeah, but that has nothing to do with, like, it's very little to do with my website. Just, like, I was bored, so I wrote a blog. So. So, yeah, that's like the most popular results I got. And it's not, you know, bringing in the right people because it's, you know, I don't do TikTok. Right, Yeah, I totally understand. Thank you for sharing. So with something like that, I mean, I had something similar ish happen with my website. So I have podcasts, I have guests that come onto the podcast and I was starting to rank. My website was showing up very high for like some of their names or some of the subjects that we were talking about with them. One of them, for example, was all about, you know, social media marketing actually, funny enough. And so what I realized that I needed to do was go back and double check my main website SEO, my main website pages. Look at that SEO strategy, Make sure that was good, solid. The last thing that you want to do whenever you make any kind of changes to your website pages is go and resubmit those pages for indexing in Google Search Console. That is a long sentence. I promise. It's not as painful as it sounds, but really all you're doing is taking that link for your about page or services page, whatever it may be, and you're giving that to Google and saying, hey, I did some updates and you need to know about them because maybe that's going to change who they send to your website. So that's one thing you want to do is check those main SEO pieces and resubmit the page to Google Search Console. You also, for even for me, when I realized this for myself, I realized that I needed to actually create content that I did want to be found for. So that might mean for a little bit, maybe you're doing two blog posts for a month instead of one, or maybe you're doing weekly blog posts instead of one a month or something like that. So those would be my suggestions. Check the main website SEO strategy, make sure you've submitted those pages to Google Search Console and then make sure that you're creating content that you do want to be found for. Next question. Andy, what are backlinks? That is not a silly question at all. And I don't believe in silly or stupid questions. Backlinks are whenever a site links to you. So I think I mentioned this with Leah's case study. She was having more other websites send traffic to her website. So it's a really key indicator that Google and other search engines look for to see that other people trust you. So the search engines take website traffic coming from another website that is a backlink as a really good indicator that you know what you're talking about. So you can even give yourself backlinks and the easiest thing to do is like Instagram, social media profile, the link in bio, have that be a page on your website instead of having that be like a link tree or a bitly kind of link. So I hope that helps. Fung, how does SEO get affected by AI, especially with Gemini results? So I, from what I am seeing, AI is really just making it so that the people who end up on your website are really, really interested in you and what you have to offer. So I, in my language, I call that like warmer to hotter leads. You're not dealing with cold traffic, you're dealing with people who by that point are really just vetting you. They're doing a vibe check, they're trying to see if they like you, if they like your style, if they, if you're going to give them what they need really. So it's not that AI is taking over SEO or anything like that, but it's really just driving those perfect fit, better aligned people to you. Also, anyone who is already a blogger or any kind of, you know, content creator like that, those are the people who have initially shown up in those AI search results. So they're getting website traffic from having their blog or their website page show up in those AI answers. So that's something to think about too. But you, you have to have the blog post in order to show up for that kind of stuff. Genevieve, what type of keyword should we target to attract ready to buy visitors? Okay, so you shared some words that people may not be familiar with. So search intent is really huge. And by that, what is the intention of the searcher of that person? Are they looking for information? Are they looking to actually purchase something and work with someone? So her two examples were informational and transactional. Your client said Google leads are different in that they have a serious buying intent. So when I do keyword research for people and then create the SEO strategies for them, slash with them, I'm really looking to get those more interested people to their website. So you, I know you've heard me ask the who do you help? How do you help them? What do you want to be known for? The reason I ask those questions is because that helps me get to that answer of what is the person's search intent? What are they wanting to find by the time they come over to your website? So something like search intent, be it informational or transactional, shows up in, in your main website SEO strategy pages and also in the types of blogs or other content that you're creating. So think of it from, from that perspective, I would say for the most part my keywords are. They would probably fall under the transactional because again, the people landing on their website, I want them to be the people that want to take action, that are ready to take that next step, whatever that next step may be. Join a membership, sign on for one to one, join an email list, even become a podcast listener, whatever that next step is, whatever that looks like for that person with AI Overview and Google, Google's AI search on the rise. Is it so worth it to target informational keywords or should we change our strategy for keywords with a buying intent? Essentially, what's the point of having a blog right now? How should we approach it if we do blog? I really want to see more people leaning on storytelling and especially leaning on sharing your client success stories. So let's get really meta because even this presentation has a lot of those client success stories in there because they bring my framework to life. They, their success shows that I know what I'm doing. And that would do the same thing with a blog post for you on your website. So I would say really heavily lean into storytelling, whether it's your own story of how you got, you know, profession in, whatever your profession is, the successes that you are seeing as it relates to how you help people and of course how your clients are seeing success and what that looks like and weave that in. I would say for the most part, whenever I do write case studies as a blog post or something like that, it typically does have a keyword. There's going to be, you know, some, some caveats as well, but it typically does involve a keyword that is transactional because the searcher, the website visitor is looking for help and they want to see, they need to see themselves reflected in that case study in that story and you're positioning yourself as the guide and then you have your solution in there. So hopefully that makes sense. But I would say lean in on storytelling, lean in on client case studies, client success stories, however you want to call it. And I would say if you're already, which it sounds like you are, if you're already familiar with search intent and keywords, lean into maybe more of the transactional ones. I know that was a lot of words. Let me know if you have follow up questions. Courtney, how are the group calls? Spaced out. So the. Let me actually go to my little calendar that I have on my laptop because I want to say that it's almost every other week. Yeah, I would say it's almost every other week. So the first one like we start on the 16th, but that's actually going to be a telegram Q and A day. And then we have a call the following Wednesday. All of our group calls are going to be on Wednesdays and then the guest expert calls. I have one already booked on a Friday, but it's September I believe. And then the other guest expert is also either going to be September or October, probably on a Friday. Everything's going to be recorded, everything is going to be. The replays will be up so that you'll have access to them as well. You'll be able to leave comments. Again, the telegram thread is going to be ongoing, so if you had any questions that I didn't get to or something like that, you could drop it in the telegram thread. And then I'm a really I love Loom, so I also record Loom videos for people and share that with them as well. With the reviews that you mentioned, does that mean you are checking the changes we have made to make sure it's done correctly? Yeah. So in the program I'll be doing the keyword research, you'll do keyword research and then we'll meet and be able to talk about it on, on the group calls and that kind of thing. And then we'll be workshopping the SEO strategy pieces together as well. So it's this, this whole thing is really so that I can bring my one to one done for you type of client experience into a group setting. So the way that it works with done for you clients is I have, I do the keyword research, I have them review the keywords. And what I've noticed, especially with things like healthcare professions, there may be words that I can't use or words that we want to steer away from, like cure or something, for example. So I have them run through that entire list. I even had a website designer where I was like, I saw this platform, but I don't know if you only design in like I don't know, showit or Kajabi or whatever it was. So I wanted her to look over and see did I miss, did I miss an opportunity for a platform that you design websites on or did I include something that you don't do? So keywords are reviewed and then I take that and create the SEO strategy. So like I said, the SEO titles, meta descriptions, there's a whole table and then I give that to the client to review as well. Do you like the way it sounds? Because these words, these pieces of messaging are going out and marketing for you on Google Search you know, so I want you to feel good about them. So that happens and then yes, we will meet. And I don't know yet if this is going to be meeting one to one with people or done on one of the group calls. But that's also why I left space for like pop up tech tutorials or coworking calls because there will be other calls that we will add in as well, like as needed, where it makes sense in the program to where I will help you with actually plugging things in on your site with a couple of people. Like even last round in SEO foundations, I gave them mini SEO audits for their homepage. So they essentially had these mini versions of an SEO strategy for their homepages. And a couple of them we were able to, I actually was able to plug it in in Squarespace for them or plug it in on WordPress for them so we could always figure out what that looks like. And I always try to meet people where they're at with like tech savviness. I am not the most tech savvy, but sometimes I'm a little tech savvier than clients or students. So that's how we do that. But yes, we're definitely going to make sure that everything is plugged in correctly. And the last question, what is your advice for creators in extremely saturated markets? I've done this a lot with clients, so I don't believe in something being too saturated even. Look at me, I'm an SEO professional. There are so many other SEO people out there. So it's a matter of who do you want to help, how do you want to help them, and then what do you want to be known for? And that is why I ask those questions. Because I really strongly believe that if we just put our blinders on and focus on the things that we want to do, the people that we want to help work in the way that we want to work in, you know, a way that feels good for our energy and our capacity and our lives because we all have different things that we're taking care of. If we focus on that, then we're going to call in the right people. And you don't have to have like 70,000 people visiting your website each month. Maybe 700 is enough. Because again, how many people do you actually want to be working with? You know, some of these clients that I mentioned have a membership model. Some of them are done for you service providers. So the capacity really matters there. So I don't really believe that a market can be too saturated. And I Feel like your differentiator can be the who you help, how you help, what you want to be known for. Again, going back to that storytelling, I think that that is so, so huge. Yeah, Genevieve, you're so welcome. I know. I would love to do the work for you, too. Are there any other questions that you can think of? You're welcome to come off mute because I think I've gone through all of the ones in the chat, but if I miss something, please flag me down. Feeling good. Can you hear me? I can. Okay, I have a question. Well, I was like, I don't know, because you're, like, spotlighted. So I feel like my website has a lot to be desired, and so I'm not sure if doing. If, like, implementing a new SEO strategy while my website needs help would be helpful or, like, worth it. Maybe I thought it would be worth it, but do you know what I mean? I follow. And I would say, when this replay is out, go back and listen to the thing with Leah, because, again, podcast producer. Podcast producer, right. Did the SEO title and meta description only before we even touched her copy, before she even did anything with pictures or anything with messaging. And that got her more leads. The biggest thing is that whenever you do SEO, I really want clients to be clear on who they want to help, how they want to help them, what they want to be known for. So if you feel good and solid about that right now, then I would say, yeah, you could go ahead and press play and do the SEO and then work on the other stuff afterward, too. Okay. Because I'm imagining it's like the messaging that you would want to change, right? Or the. Well, and like. Like, my main. Like, the page that they land on is so bad, it's, like, really ugly. So, like, it's like, basic stuff like that that I'm like, hi, this needs some serious love. Yeah, I would say definitely go for it. And again, even with my stuff. So I. I had a DIY website up until December. We're recording this. It's in June. So I had a DIY website from. For almost 10 years where that's what it was. I made changes. I put different brand photos in there. I changed fonts and colors. But, like, other than that, I do not have a design situation for websites. Like, I don't know anything. So we took that time to make sure that the SEO was solid. But I also had the SEO solid before. So, like, yeah, sure, we're all going to be, like, the harshest critics of our websites. And, like, oh, it doesn't look pretty. It doesn't look cute. But does it function? Like, is it taking 15 hours to load? We might need to talk. But if it's loading and it looks, like, acceptable, then what you're saying and how you're delivering it, I think is a little bit more important. Like, yes, there's definitely a time and place for design. I'm not trying to offend any designers at all. I love you. I really do, because I need you. But, like, the words can work for you to get the right people over to your site. Totally. Okay. Yeah. But, yeah, definitely go back and listen to the. The Leah's case study and, like, look at all her screenshots and stuff. I don't know what this, like, hand judge. I love it, but. Yeah, I hear you. That makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's a great question, and a lot of people really struggle with that, so you're making me very happy that I put Leah's case study in there. Well, yeah, and she's so cool. She's so good at what she does, so that's fun. Yeah, you both are. You're both amazing. And again, this goes back to, like, saturated market. No. Because you can't help everyone. She can't help everyone. Like, you both have families and sanities to maintain. So, like, seriously. Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah. Cool. I hope that helps. Any other questions? I think if we sit here, we'll think of more. I feel like there's always more. I am curious, for those of you that are still on, do you have, like, which of the following do you have? Website, podcast, social media presence, YouTube channel. Like, what do we have going on? What's the mix that we're working with? Or if there's something else that I didn't even mention because, like, myself, I've got website, podcast, YouTube is kind of an afterthought, but don't tell it that I do have a social media presence, frankly, because I feel like that's where all my clients are. So I have to get on social media to tell people how they cannot be on social media. That's been a very fun change of my own marketing journey Recently. Website, Instagram, YouTube. Okay. Social media, website, website, guest podcast episodes. Smart. I love it. Genevieve and YouTube. Yeah. Before I did my own podcast, I was loving going and guessing because you don't have to deal with all of the tech stuff and all of the. You just get to go talk and then promote it when it's live. It's great. And Andy, website, podcast, social media YouTube. Love it. Cool. This is a great mix, everyone. All right, final time. Any other questions? Okay, don't feel like you can't ask me any more questions. If they pop up, you'll get an email with the replay, with links, with everything. I will say the website is currently set up. If you're interested and you're like, yes, I want to do SEO and grow. Yay. And if you go to the website, currently the pay in full option is the only one that's there. So if you're like, yes, I want to join, but can you please tell me about the payment options? Just send me a message. Instagram, email, whatever. If we're already connected on Voxer or Telegram, feel free to use that as well. But yeah, that's. That's one note that I did want to mention again. I'm not like the super tech savviest, but sometimes I'm a little bit more than other people. Okay, awesome. You all have been amazing. I love the questions and keep them coming, and I really do hope that you take action with SEO in some capacity. But even if all you did was sit here and learn with me today, like, that's incredible and I'm so proud of you. I will talk to you later. Bye, everyone.
